Are our activities suitable for kids?
Our Rafting, Packrafting, River Canyoning and Trekking excursions are generally suitable for everyone from 5 years up, even if beginners. In order to participate no previous experience or special motor skills are required. So no need to be superheroes!
However some of the more adventurous and adrenaline filled itineraries, such as the Packrafting Ponte del Diavolo, Packrafting Lima and the Kayak Courses are not allowed under 16 years old.
Are our actvities suitable for non swimmers?
Absolutely! All of our activities are carried out with technical river equipment that follows the most strict safety regulations (rafts, packrafts, kayaks, thermal neoprene wetsuits, life jackets, helmets and paddles are all CE homologated).
In addition our staff has regular licenses for rafting guides, kayak instructors, canyoning guides, river rescue approved by FIRAFT (Federazione italiana Rafting), FICK (Federazione Italiana Canoa e Kayak) and RESCUE PROJECT (Expert instructors and rescuers). In addition we hold the the BLS-D certification for emergency first aid.
What to bring and how to dress?
Besides the desire to have fun…
For all the soft and scenic tours we recommend comfortable sports clothing with flip-flops or sandals or gym shoes that can get wet and of course don’t forget to bring your camera or phone.
For all the more adventurous and adrenaline filled Rafting, Packrafting, River Canyoning and Kayak Courses we recommend you to bring a swim suite, a thermal shirt, a towel and gym shoes that can get wet. You will also need a full change for your clothes. Bring a Gopro or any action cam if you have.
For the hiking excursions we recommend you wear comfortable sports clothing and hiking or sports shoes and also to bring a backpack, water and a k-way in case it rains.
What river equipment does Firenze Rafting provides?
For the Rafting Pontevecchio and Sieve, the Packrafting Pontevecchio, Sieve, Serchio and Massaciuccoli excursions we will provide you a life jacket, paddle and a helmet if needed, and also a waterproof bag for your phone/camera.
For the Rafting Lima, Packrafting Lima and Ponte del Diavolo, River Canyoning and Kayak excursions we will provide you a life jacket, helmet, neoprene wetsuit, thermal neoprene socks and a paddle.
Can we organize special events?
Of course, every occasion is suitable for a river trip. Birthday celebrations, business team buildings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, school trips are just a few examples. We are open to all kinds of requests in order to personalize your excursions according to your needs.
In addition you can personalize your adventures with on board Aperitif, Picnic on the river bank, Trekking with an environmental guide, Adventure Park with zipline, SUP and yoga, Photo shoots and Gopro rental as well as enjoying overnight at our ancient Mulino Verde immersed in nature by the river in Bagni di Lucca.
